Program Objectives – Train the Trainer

1.Provide Medical Care in CBRN and Hazardous Materials Environments:

  • Understand the principles of managing patients exposed to hazardous materials and CBRN agents.
  • Recognize and respond to toxidromes and other clinical presentations of chemical exposures.

2.Dry and Wet Decontamination Based on the PRISM Study:

  • Implement effective decontamination strategies, including traditional wet decontamination and dry decontamination techniques.
  • Apply findings from the PRISM study to improve decontamination processes.

3.Prepare Pre-Hospital and Hospital Staff to Manage Hazmat and CBRN Patients:

  • Train staff on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the procedures for donning and doffing PPE.
  • Develop protocols for the in-hospital management of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear emergencies.
  • Enhance the ability of healthcare providers to deliver life-saving medical care in hazardous environments.

This comprehensive training program will ensure that participants are well-prepared to train others in managing hazardous materials and CBRN incidents, ultimately improving the overall response to such emergencies and allow students to deliver this training in their home countries with support from MedGlobal.
